JOB SUMMARY:This role is responsible for maintaining the supply chain for the company andmanaging the operational execution of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)strategies. Manages deliverables, resolves delivery and supply issues, andcommunicates between suppliers and the company.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Manages the execution of VMI strategies.
a. Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties toprovide information and/or providing direction.b. Monitors customer satisfaction of goods and services received.c. Ability to manage supply in an ever-changing environment, to includeexpediting, de-expediting and cancelling of purchase orders.d. Generate RFQ’s for competitive bidding of commodities to result in costreduction
Maintains a variety of manual and electronic records of VMI transactions.
a. Processes documents such as purchase orders, shipping documents, andcommercial invoices to fulfill orders, collecting/distributing payments toand from customers and vendors.b. Reconciles purchase orders and invoices.c. Manage supply of materials to achieve inventory goals. Ability tonegotiate stocking programs (VMI, Kanban, JIT) to reduce both lead timeand inventory
Manage the supply chain to ensure quality and on time delivery of materials
to meet production schedules.a. Interface with planning, sales, service, engineering, production, financeand other departments as required to achieve customer satisfactionb. Ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal pricingand service levels.c. Responsible for the identification and development of suppliers toensure supply continuity and optimization for quality, cost and delivery.
Monitors account balances and related financial activity to ensure that
allocations are accurate.
May assume other duties as assigned.
