Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County’s safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.Summary:Leads hospital operations and provides operational oversight for The MetroHealth System’s (MHS) hospital-based operations for the Behavioral Health and Addiction Inpatient Facility, located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Works collaboratively with MetroHealth operational and nursing leadership. Leads the development of strategy, implementation, and execution of tactics for development and growth resulting in inpatient access, value, and quality. Works collaboratively with MetroHealth and regional leaders to enhance Behavioral Health and Addiction Services for the community in a patient-centric manner. Ensures compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulating bodies. Participates with other leaders in institutional planning, policy development, and problem resolution. Functions as key member of the MetroHealth team for planning and execution of strategic growth. Serves as ambassador for the MetroHealth System and builds positive community relationships. Advances the organization’s position with relevant constituents, as well as drives broader awareness and support for MetroHealth. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.Qualifications:Required:

Master’s Degree in business, health or public administration, or health care related field and 5 years management experience in the field of Behavioral Health and Addiction encompassing program planning and analysis, financial and operational management in healthcare or healthcare consulting environment.

In lieu of Master’s Degree, will accept a Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years progressively responsible management experience in Behavioral Health and Addiction which encompasses program planning and analysis, financial and operational management in healthcare or healthcare consulting environment.

Extensive knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, workforce planning, supervision, and operational analysis.

Demonstrated leadership, communication, mentoring, customer service, and excellent interpersonal skills along with experience in working with multi-disciplinary groups.

Highly developed oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Ability to synthesize information from many sources to create, articulate, and implement planning strategies.

Capacity and initiative to function independently, assuming ownership and responsibility for projects, and the ability to follow through on assignments without regular supervision or prompting.

Leadership to drive projects and work collaboratively with diverse, cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives and deliver results.

Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, manage timelines, and control project budgets.

Proficiency with the technology and media necessary to communicate in a manner that is open, accessible, and clear.

Discipline and composure necessary to perform professionally within a demanding environment and navigate a challenging and ever-changing landscape

Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.Preferred:

Knowledge and understanding of the core mission, objectives, and functions of a public hospital system.Physical Demands:

May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
