Enhance and build the capability of the business by incorporating the people component into strategic planning, development, and assessment. Leverage relationships to understand and drive business issues as they relate to human resource (HR). Develop strategies to maximize employee/organizational performance and global goal attainment.RESPONSIBILITIES Effectively coach senior leadership in matters relating to people, human resource (HR) processes, employment practices, HR programs and the corresponding impact on the business.

Provide individualized executive coaching, as required, to help drive high-performance teams, and help to create a high performing organization.

Partner with senior management to identify and proactively develop talent through formal training, mentoring, coaching, and "stretch" assignments.

Direct succession planning activities across the business to ensure talent is available and ready to assume positions of greater responsibility across guest supply its subsidiaries and Sysco.

Establish a capable HR team that provides coaching and guidance to location leaders and associates regarding employment issues is such areas as policy and procedure development/interpretation/application, dispute resolution, corrective action, leaves of absences, harassment and terminations.

Direct activities associated with the Sysco speaks associate survey including analyzing and reviewing trends with senior management and recommending actions to ensure positive organizational changes across all locations.

Oversee the execution and delivery of all local training for associates.

Ensure availability of leadership training for all location leaders of various HR topics, including ethics, labor laws, policies, and procedures.

Inspect the performance management process and ensure HR business partners (HRBP) work with location leaders on their associate reviews and evaluations and that they provide training and consultation as necessary.

Work with location leaders to create and maintain workforce staffing plans.

Supervise recruiting efforts to ensure that competent, diverse and skilled workers are hired and workload levels are appropriate and maintained, and work to minimize turnover.

Oversee the installation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the process and strategies of Vision Ø, Sysco's behavioral and compliance safety program.

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as company policies and procedures with the help of the safety management team.

Direct resources and activities to support a culture of prevention awareness and accountability across the organization.

Support the development of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) plans to meet operational goals to reduce accidents, injuries, and incidents.

Manage planning and development of HR team including leaders in safety, human resource (HR) operations, talent acquisition and the establishment of goals for their areas of responsibility.

Monitor, evaluate and provide feedback to directors and managers on progress towards goals.

Coach and develop management in balancing the delivery of high productivity, quality and customer service.

Counsel and direct management on handling employee relations, staffing, disciplinary actions and maintaining a positive work environment.

Conduct regular department meetings to foster employee engagement, communicate any changes to company policies and procedures, address employee concerns, foster idea-sharing and suggestions for improvement.

Participate in staff selection, performance and compensation evaluations, corrective action and terminations, as necessary.

Promote continuous training and development of associates.

Lead and facilitate change management in support of organizational goals.

Oversee the execution of all benefits and compensation policies, procedures and programs as created by Sysco and Guest Supply.

Direct all mergers and acquisitions of human capital due to diligence activities.

Recommend and implement strategic plans throughout the transition process, including but not limited to creating full integration plans, identification, and implementation of initiatives to retain and motivate key talent.

Assess and anticipate cultural challenges and take the necessary steps to integrate the cultures of each organization.

QUALIFICATIONS EducationBachelor's degree with major or emphasis in human resources, business administration or a closely related field.

Experience10+ years of human resource (HR) experience in the design/ development and execution of HR strategies and tactics.

Progressive human capital and/or management consulting, human resources and employee relations, performance management, and change management.

Certificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsHuman resources certification (i.e., PHR, SPHR or GPHR) preferred.

Professional SkillsApplicable experience leading teams in support of projects, budgets, matrix partners, contractors, etc.

Demonstrated success in orchestrating organizational development and change.

Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence corporate executives

Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and develop individuals and teams.

Able to engage and lead team discussions and meetings.
