Career Area:Manufacturing & Supply ChainJob Description:As a Warehouse Team Lead at Caterpillar, you will assist the team supervisor in coordinating workflow and training team members. As a team lead, you will be expected to support a culture of inclusion and development within your team. Shift: Second Shift, 3:00pm- 11:00pm
Starting Pay: $18.00/hr
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Oversee management of inventory making sure all orders are packed and shipped in standard
Accountable for tracking quality metrics and meeting Safety, Quality, and Velocity goals in work group
Lead investigations when defects are detected for internal and external customers. Perform daily audits in packout to reduce claims
Operate heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, tuggers, overhead cranes, etc.
Perform material handling and warehousing functions as required
Work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work OT when required. Ability to work in the process
Demonstrating safety excellence and enforcing safety policies and procedures
Assist with on-the-job training for newly hired warehouse associates
Be a liaison between team members and team supervisor to aide in answering team member on the job questions/concerns
Essential Job Functions
Occasionally lift parts up to 50 pounds individually or 75 pounds as a team lift
Occasional bending, reaching, and squatting while performing tasks
Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed
Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
Standing and/or sitting at a desk while performing tasks
Required Qualifications may include, but are not limited to:
At least one year of team management or team training experience in manufacturing or logistics.
Experience with growth & development of team members
Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrated proficiency in mathematical and analytical skills
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point, and Access
Good attendance record
Ability to maintain accurate and complete records
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes. Ability to work at elevated heights.
Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
Walk, squat, and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, be able to climb stairs and ladders, reach overhead and stand for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to be trained on conveyor functions, start up, clearing jams, troubleshooting, etc.
Willingness to be trained on forklift, boom lift, tugger, order picker, etc.
Additional Information:
Overtime may be mandatory based on business need.
Starting wage is 18.00 per hour + $1.50 shift premium
Openings are in Clayton, OH
