Job Details:SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring that all water leaving a Tyson water treatment facility meets the requirements set by local state and federal governments and for ensuring the state is informed of all changes in water quality or engineering processes. This requires maintaining treatment systems performing operational maintenance and keeping administrative records budgeting for sufficient funds to operate and maintain the treatment facility effectively and providing a safe working environment with proper safety equipment and tools for personnel. Provide scheduling training and support of personnel. Other responsibilities include analyzing operational data to determine changes and improvements needed to accomplish objectives ensuring wastewater samples are correctly collected and sent to the lab for determining permit compliance and generating reports for local management corporate office and government agencies as required. Other duties include aiding Wastewater Operators in maintaining their operator s license overseeing and maintaining the operation of treatment equipment proper communication of current operational status to upper management maintaining operations logs performing maintenance and preventative maintenance on equipment; operation of a spotter truck and or a fork lift; grounds keeping mowing painting general housekeeping; and performing other responsibilities as the need arises. This position is responsible for food safety food quality and legality. All Tyson Team members are responsible for food safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses preferred. Certifications: Wastewater Certifications and Licenses per state regulations is required. At a minimum the individual would hold a Wastewater Treatment Grade 3 Drinking Water Treatment Grade 2 and Drinking Water Distribution Grade 2. Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester BPAT or similar is preferred but not required. Experience: Supervisory experience of 3 plus years strongly preferred. Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual skills helpful. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects 50-75 pounds climb and or descend stairs or ladders. Environmental: Work with hazardous chemicals and in unsanitary conditions. Position would be required to work occasional nights and weekends or as needed. Supervisory Skills: This person is responsible for supervising a group of Team Members who perform various Wastewater tasks or activities. Ensure compliance with all human resource and safety policies food safety sanitation and all other duties as determined by management. The individual should be able to multi-task. Special Skills: Strong organizational skills; basic mechanical and electrical wiring skills. Travel: Position would be required to travel 1 - 5 times a year. Other Requirements: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce. Extra consideration given to team members with technical skills.
