Websphere Application Support Professional 2 Looking for someone who has migrated a WebSphere application server application from one version to a new version of WAS

Position Location:
  • Hybrid (must live in driving distance from the Miamisburg Ohio hub) (2 days in office 3 days at home)

Describe the role and the key responsibilities in order of which they will be doing daily:
  • Collaborating with staff from a diverse collection of technology teams, orchestrates the provisioning of server
  • virtual machines hosting application servers, web servers, and database servers.
  • Installs and configures application software.
  • Specifies and orchestrates firewall configurations.
  • Analyzes and configures system monitoring rules.
  • Assesses system performance levels and ensures appropriate memory, cpu, and disk resources are available for
  • the planned application loads.
  • Configures access controls for database, file, and web services.
  • Tests all components of the distributed solution are operating as needed.

Describe the required must have technical skills, tools, or experience:
  • Web logic installation, configuration, and support
  • Java software development (specific for web logic containers)
  • Basic system administration for Linux
  • Intermediate understanding of SQL
  • Basic database administration oracle DBMS and OR MS/SQL DBMS
