Akkodis is seeking a
Windows Server Admin in Columbus, OH. The Server Administrator performs administration, configuration, monitoring, and updating of assigned servers. Assesses and identifies appropriate solutions to be integrated into the companies' server operation and makes recommendations for implementation.Pay/Salary Range: $60-66/HROvernight ShiftJob Responsibilities1. Provides all levels of management with high-end technology solutions related to Windows server platforms and devices at the enterprise level.2. Analyzes, identifies, and resolves system operation and data storage issues related to the assigned servers to ensure optimum performance of all servers.3. Performs preventative maintenance routines to ensure system availability and performance standards on Operating Systems.4. Assists in the design and implementation of system and/or application software at the direction of the Sr. Server Administrators or Management.5. Identifying and resolving systems hardware and software related failures and issues. Ensures system and business continuity through the implementation and management of disaster/recovery procedures and locations.6. Automates routine administrative tasks, through the use of script development and application scripting technologies.7. Develop Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation to perform production support activities.8. Supports physical datacenter infrastructure including, server installation, structured cabling, and the preventative maintenance of CRAC and UPS power systems.Qualifications and Skills1. College degree with a major or significant coursework in Computer Science preferred.2. 3-5 years advanced knowledge of a Windows server environment of 100 or more servers required.3. 3-5 years experience with VMWare ESX design and support required.4. 3-5 years experience with Active Directory administration required.5. Strong business knowledge and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously required.6. Experience with AIX and Linux preferred.7.
