Accountant

System One is assisting a Tulsa client with a search for an Accountant. The Accountant will work with others who excel in their areas of expertise. Responsibilities:

Perform monthly accounting activities for the organization including month-end close, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation and analysis

Set up projects to track costs by client and assignment. Ensure time is appropriately coded to projects and run related reports weekly. Provide cost updates to management and clients periodically. Perform job cost analysis as needed

Prepare and process payroll weekly and semi-monthly. Enter time into the payroll system and upload that information to the Accounting system. Reconcile 941s quarterly and review and distribute W-2s to employees annually

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable. Follow up on any past due accounts

Prepare and file periodic sales tax reports, workers' compensation reports, property tax filings, etc.

Participate in other general office duties such as answering phones and greeting visitors as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required

Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred but not required

Solid understanding of accounting, experience with accounts payable, accounts receivables and/or payroll a plus. Paycom experience a plus

Quick and accurate data entry skills with ability to recognize items of concern

Positive attitude with a strong work ethic

Ability to work well with minimal supervision. Takes ownership of their areas of responsibility

Team player with effective communication skills

Proficient computer skills

Salary: $70K - $85K
