Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for mixed-use, commercial, and residential land development projects, along with industrial, sports, schools, and other site development types. As a Civil Designer, you will recommend design techniques and minor design changes to ensure the best approach to solve engineering and design needs.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Performs detailed design work on projects including preparation of drawings and layouts, reviewing project specifications, and performing design calculations.Conducts research on various design concepts and techniques and develops approaches to enhance project design work.Performs complex computer-aided design assignments and ensures designs align with project objectives and quality standards.May review drawings, prepare project cost estimates, and attend client meetings.Maintains project documentation including drawings, specifications, and project correspondence.Assists in the preparation of environmental impacts or other project studies.May supervise, coordinate, and review work for less experienced staff members.May be required to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions and on project sites in various stages of construction.We are currently seeking a Civil Designer for our Site Design team, and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Plano, TX, Fort Worth, TX, Oklahoma City, OK or Tulsa, OK office locations.
