Description We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users for desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and related issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, remote assistance, and in-person visits.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software applications, and drivers.

Set up and configure new desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for end-users.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with email, Internet connectivity, and other basic network-related problems.

Perform hardware repairs, replacements, and upgrades as necessary.

Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve advanced technical issues.

Document all support activities, solutions, and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.

Maintain accurate inventory records of hardware and software assets.

Provide training and guidance to end-users on the proper use of technology resources.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Familiarity with hardware components and troubleshooting techniques for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.

Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

Authorization to work in the United States.
