Robert Half is seeking a Desktop Support Technician. This IT Infrastructure Specialist will be the local technical expert for Tulsa IT infrastructure. They will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and supporting IT infrastructure (e.g. PC, printers, A/V, scanners, telephony, network) within the region. Working closely with our Onsite IT Support team and service providers for expertise. Based in our Tulsa office supporting the North American region user base. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Provide support, coaching, and guidelines to other IT support members Responsible for driving rollouts and other infrastructure projects locally or regionally Work self-dependently in clearly defined area of responsibility Identify, evaluate, and prioritize user problems and complaints; create and assign problem tickets using Hilti's ticketing system (Service-Now) Analyze customer problems and formulate plans of resolution; utilize all technical resources to solve user problems Perform routine software and/or hardware installations following established documented policies and procedures Test new application software and computer images; troubleshoot and correct peripheral problems Use technical library and online references to research, identify, and apply solutions to systems problems Process requests on the Hilti IT Service Catalogue Interface with 3rd Level Engineering teams and vendors when the problem requires escalation Monitor and support meeting room technology Manage and maintain local IT inventory Find improvements in current 1st Level Support processes Perform root cause analysis to minimize problems in the future Other duties as assigned Requirements Job Specifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field recommended 2 to 5 years of experience in related field Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills required for providing support over the phone or in person Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft® Operating System Environment and client computers (Software/hardware) of popular brands such as Dell, HP, and Lenovo Experience in troubleshooting popular desktop applications such as Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, Zscaler, and Microsoft Edge Essential understanding and experience with client hardware deployment, operating system loads, drivers, software installation Experience with IT project management, solution management, and vendor management Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms or other Audio/Video meeting room systems. (supporting higher level of the infrastructure is not within the scope of this role, however knowledge of these concepts is helpful) Desire and ability to maintain technical skills, learn and grow with IT technology deployed at Hilti Desire and ability to work in a culturally diverse global team environment Fluent in English (verbally and written) required Working Conditions: Normal office conditions, ability to lift 30lbs.
