Join our growing team as an Engineering Technician, Level 3 in support of the FAA’s Power & Environmental Systems Team.Responsibilities:

Will relay any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

Designs, Tests, Fabricates, and Installs FAA approved electrical and power transmission capability modification parts as required to enhance equipment function or replace obsolete equipment.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and Supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize output.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.

Effectively work both independently and in a team environment for the successful achievement of goals.

Coordinate efforts with others for the timely completion of projects and deliverables.

Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments and plans the implementation of projects/programs under limited direction of a Technical Manager or more experienced engineer.

Requirements: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years .On-site presence will be as required by the FAA.

Ability to travel up to 25%.

Experience working in a team environment

Good written and spoken communication including developing technical documentation

Ability to coordinate efforts with others for the timely completion of projects and deliverables

Ability to pass an FAA background investigation (US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required)

Education/Experience:

Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar science/technology curriculum required; OR a certificate of training in a 2 year EET program from a community college, vocational education school, military training or FAA academy may be substituted in lieu of the associate; four (4) years of experience related to the NAS may be substituted for educational requirements

Ten (10) plus years related experience to include electrical circuits, circuit elements, equipment and systems.

Experience with FAA NAS facilities, systems, and equipment is highly desirable.

Proficient in Windows application

Comfortable with computer applications – specifically the use, configuration, troubleshooting

Troubleshooting electrical equipment

General knowledge in communication (i.e. Serial and IP) is desirable.
