KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for an HSE Manager This job description applies to all activities and guidelines for operations performed by the HSE Specialist. This job description shall be reviewed on a regular basis. The HSE Specialist role must participate in the planning, assessment of risk, identification of controls and monitoring of high-risk activities at the site level. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide functional expertise and HSE support in close alignment to the HSE management system and recognized industry best practice. Interpret and apply region specific legislation, understand codes of practices and industry standards. Monitor, record, and review all HSE performance against HSE objectives, while actively identifying key areas for continual improvement. Engage and build an effective relationship with all site personnel, to promote a visible and pro-active risk-based approach to HSE management. Participate in workplace activities to raise the quality of HSE input and risk management, while adopting a governance role to check compliance with site and operational requirements. Intervene and escalate when tasks, job plans, and/or actual task are not going to plan, or the risk profile changes. Provide HSE support for all HSE related training.Conduct an HSE review on contracts and other operational documents to identify risk(s) and potential areas of concern.Provide Safety Communication to all the Regional Leaders.Follow-up on all CAPAs and Incidents to ensure closure.Act as a leader and provide support that aligns with the Management System.Have a detailed knowledge of all local standards. Be assertive, pragmatic, solution driven and lead by exemplary behavior through consistent and clear communication to all levels of personnel. Build relationships and mentoring personnel while providing technical assistance and guidance relating to all HSE related issues. Identify hazards and develop innovative solutions using the Hierarchy of Controls Model to mitigate such hazards and thereby demonstrating the active promotion of continual improvement. Remain independent and be prepared to stand alone when situations require it. Maintain a healthy level of skepticism and concern about the management of risks (Chronic Unease) and avoid confirmation bias. Apply a rigorous approach to performing incident investigations, HSE audits and hazard hunts to ensure root causes and key hazards are clearly identified and communicated. Follow-up on all safety communication to make sure field/shop employees are aware of all HSE communication.Work in a safe manner.Follows Company's Compliance requirements.Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:Technical Requirements: Computer literate; leadership ability; good verbal communication skillsExperience: At least five years work experience in similar role, or as deemed sufficient by management
