L3Harris-Aeromet is established within the DoD Community as the developer and operator of special mission ISR systems. We provide special mission system design, modification, and operations with emphasis on the development and integration of state-of-the-art EO/IR sensor systems. Job Description: Performs ISSO duties under the guidance of the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM). The Information Systems Security Officer, Senior Associate Level is an intermediate professional with practical job knowledge, working under moderate supervision to set objectives within their own job area to meet the goals of projects and assignments, achieving operational targets with impact on departmental results. Essential Functions: Assist the ISSMs in meeting their duties and responsibilities.

Implement and enforce all DoD IS cybersecurity policies and procedures, as defined by cybersecurity-related documentation.

Ensure that all users have the requisite security training and access authorization, and are aware of their cybersecurity responsibilities for DoD IS under their purview before being granted access to those systems.

In coordination with the ISSM, initiate protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered and ensure process is in place for authorized users to report all cybersecurity-related events and potential threats and vulnerabilities to the ISSO.

Ensure that all DoD IS cybersecurity-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.

Reviews, implements, and test security policies and procedures in accordance with the Continuous Monitoring Plans.

Schedules, performs, and maintains records of required Information Security auditing, maintenance logs, software/hardware changes, and anti-virus updates.

Delivers site information systems security education program requirements to all users of the classified information system(s) supporting classified programs.

Assists in periodic self-assessments of the facility’s classified information systems are conducted as part of the overall facility self-inspection program and that all corrective actions are taken; accurately reports security posture to the Manager Cyber intelligence and the FSO/ISSM.

Performs Information System (IS) scanning based on vulnerabilities and threats or regulatory compliance, maintaining a consistent security posture.

Assists in the development and implementation of policies and operating procedures supporting government agency requirements.

Assists in applying cyber security standards, directives, guidance, and policies to classified computing environments to effectively manage the security aspects and the day-to-day security operations of assigned systems.

Qualifications:

Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain up to Top Secret.

Associates degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience or a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification (Security+ CE, CISSP, GSEC, etc.) or be able to obtain one within 3 months of hire.

Understanding of NIST and other RMF related policies and regulations (NIST SP 800-37/53/171, FIPS, CNSS, DAAPM, etc.).

Preferred Additional Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in an information technology field with 4 years of prior related experience.

Experience with Microsoft Windows and Server operating systems.

Experience in managing system plans in eMASS.

Experience with DISA STIGs and SCAP Compliance Checker.

Experience interpreting vulnerability scanning results (ACAS, Nessus).

Experience in System/Network Administration.
