Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist with a strong background in hospital billing and Epic software. The position is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and is 100% remote. The role focuses on denials management, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle processes to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. Responsibilities: Accurately process and submit hospital claims using Epic software Manage and ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid claims regulations Identify, resolve, and appeal denied claims Maximise revenue and reduce outstanding balances by managing accounts receivable Collaborate with payers and internal teams to resolve any billing issues Stay updated with the latest billing regulations and payer requirements Use Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, and Epaces to perform billing functions and claim administration Handle appeals and benefit functions as part of the job duties Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and payer requirements. Requirements Proficiency in Allscripts software for healthcare solutions Familiarity with Cerner Technologies for patient care Proficiency in using Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) Experience with EHR SYSTEM for electronic health records Knowledge of Epaces for electronic provider assisted claim entry system Strong skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) management Ability to handle and resolve Appeals effectively Understanding of Benefit Functions in healthcare settings Experience in Billing Functions, including invoicing and payment processing Proficiency in Claim Administration, with an ability to manage and track claims efficiently.
