The Quality Supervisor oversees and supports the quality inspection team with daily tasks. This role collaborates with other departmental leaders to ensure the achievement of the organization's goals and aids in ensuring customer satisfaction and enhanced customer experience. Supervise and direct quality inspectors in their day-to-day activities.
Ensure product, service, and process conformity to all applicable requirements or standards.
Provide technical support to inspectors and technicians.
Investigate quality-related issues (including customer complaints) and collaborate with other departments to drive appropriate resolution.
Provide mentorship and team development to quality inspectors through training, setting expectations, providing accountability, and assisting with evaluations.
Support continuous improvement by conducting (or participating in) root cause investigations into non-conformances with recommendations for appropriate corrective actions to resolve identified root causes.
Certify trucks as complete, intermediate, or altered vehicles according to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
Attend and participate in company or department meetings. Lead quality team meetings.
Perform quality or process improvement duties as directed by the Quality Manager.
Review and authorize time off requests.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree required. Associate’s degree or greater (or Technical Certificate) is highly preferred.
General experience in automotive service or fabrication environment required.
5 years of experience as a quality assurance auditor/technician in commercial truck, automotive service, or manufacturing industry.
1 year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Willing to obtain Texas Railroad Commission certified for CNG/ LNG vehicles or Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (“AFVI”) certified is highly preferred.
Consideration is given to relevant experience and related certification.
Must possess a current and valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by company’s insurance carrier
