Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.This role in summaryWhirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Analyst Engineering, This role is located at our Tulsa, OK site. The role is responsible for design, development, testing and sustaining major manufacturing controls & automation systems involving fabrication, coating, assembly, and material handling processes. Project activity where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment. May supervise or exercise direction over other engineers, technicians, or support personnel with specific engineering objectives. Reinforce corporate regional and local design standards.Your responsibilities will include

Develop, manage, and execute automation and controls projects including new, replacement, and improvement of existing systems

Periodic day-to-day support of manufacturing and facility electrical systems and networks

Utilizes best practices, industrial standards, and common systems to support the overall competitive manufacturing initiative

Participates in functional area plant meetings and related activities representing the engineering team and to assist in improving the plant’s performance goals

Provides technical support, direction, and training to engineering and support personnel/skilled trades within the organization

Investigates systems and equipment problems and provides technical assistance in problem resolution.

Develops cost estimates, investment forecast, business cases, appropriation requests, and plans for project activity

Utilizes statistical methods for continuous improvement on manufacturing systems and processes

Enforces safe work practices as the highest priority and implements objectives for ergonomics, health/safety and housekeeping

Maintains good working relationships with peers, hourly employees, management, supplier community, and interfaces with necessary support functions inside and outside of the plant

Coordinates and communicates the development of changes to improve conditions for the fabrication, finish, assembly, and support processes

Ensures long term, cost effective life cycle for manufacturing equipment and plant facilities

Manages projects to minimize investment costs while providing manufacturing and facility systems at the lowest operating costs possible (maximum throughput, energy efficiency, etc.)

Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 250lbs) with assistance from others

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology

5+ years of experience in manufacturing controls & automation including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and drives

5+ years of experience in manufacturing solution development, design, and implementation

5+ years of experience in manufacturing problem solving and troubleshooting

5+ years of experience in developing complete controls solutions using Rockwell Automation hardware and software from concept to deployment

Preferred skills and experiences

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Robotic experience: Yaskawa/Motoman, FANUC

5+ years of experience with Ethernet I/P controls networks

Experience with Vision systems

Knowledge of C, C programming

Knowledge of SQL database systems including queries and analysis
