General Responsibilities: The Oracle Database Administrator will provide senior systems administration service to manage and maintain the Hertz Oracle database servers and applications in line with Oracle best practices and methodologies.
What is this role all about?- Provide day-to-day IT Infrastructure Database support
- Take the lead in ensuring Oracle Server administration, database administration, backup, replication, disaster recovery strategies are in place for internal systems and perform exercises to validate readiness
- Perform audits of IT infrastructure services assets at regular intervals ensuring compliance with Hertz policies and procedures
- Responsible for the integrity, availability, security and performance of the Oracle database solutions.
- Plan support requirements with Business Analysts and Project managers to support installs, upgrades, configuration setups etc.
- Prepare end user and technical user documentation for Database environments.
- Excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work closely with technical resources, business partners and independently
- Strong customer focus
- The ability to understand Business needs and technical constraints
- L1/L2 support for Production issues
- Coordination, scheduling and implementation of database patches and releases with appropriate lead time communication and notification to affected users
- Oracle database patching and tuning skills
- Maintain high availability of databases
- Relational database schema design and implementation skills
- Proficient in data analysis, determining business logic and applying to development
- Ability to identify opportunities to optimize the enterprise database architectures
- Implementation and monitoring of validation processes to ensure data integrity
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems, assimilate information rapidly, and work under time constraints
- Creation and maintenance of documentation for corporate database processes and design
- Experience using Oracle 19c and 12c Database technology, Oracle Exadata GRID Cloud Infrastructure Patching, Autonomous Transaction Processing
- Managing & configuring Oracle Databases and Exadata Cloud GRID Infrastructure
- Relevant third level qualification or professional qualifications
- 10 years proven experience in a senior role managing Oracle Databases and Cloud Infrastructure
- Planning and maintaining database configuration.
- Database design, tuning and management.
- Implementing and enforcing database security
- Logging, troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
- Ability to work provide access reviews and work with auditors to satisfy audit requests
- Knowledge of the latest database cloud services and migrations strategies
- Project management skills and accreditations
- Experience working with Azure SSO integrated with Oracle Cloud technologies
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud
- Experience with Oracle Data Safe and Cloud Guard
