Job Description: Salesforce Developer

Would you like to join a team that is innovating how the Department of Human Services interacts with citizens and partners using Salesforce? The successful candidate will work with the Department of Human Service to solve existing and new requirements with designs that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable. They will be owners and are expected to contribute to defining and governing coding standards, implementing design patterns, and refactoring existing code. Additionally, this role with help DHS's Salesforce org that was created for an initiative called Be A Neighbor (BeANeighbor.org) to identify and unify non-profits, community organizations and faith-based groups across the state. This organization provides for programs that meet the needs of vulnerable populations in their communities.

The BeANeighbor platform connects government safety net resources and local non-profits as partners in serving Oklahomans living in poverty through a deep case management and resource referral tool. As the digital companion to a newly rebuilt human services distribution model, it is not hyperbole to suggest that BeANeighbor.org can be a piece of the solution to solving poverty in Oklahoma.

Along with BAN, this role's first project will help build a solution that allows collaboration with multiple community partners across the state to fulfill the holiday hopes of children and youth in state custody. This holiday season, new interactive maps allow donors to offer support in their local communities and foster parents or placement providers to find local support for their children.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS/CIS or related experience
  • 4+ years previous development experience with Salesforce.com developing in Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Visualforce pages
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience with Salesforce.com architecture and API including experience with integrations and knowledge of integration patterns and tools (e.g. MuleSoft, Salesforce Bulk API)
  • Ability to design, code, test, debug, and maintain software applications
  • Experience in building complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years previous development experience with Salesforce.com developing in Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Visualforce pages
  • Understanding of advanced security configuration including Salesforce Shield.
  • Experience with Git Version Control Systems and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) workflows within Salesforce (e.g. Jenkins, Gearset, Copado)
  • Experience with SFDX
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, Python, C#, and/or Java
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Curious with an appetite for learning and supporting multiple teams
  • Experience integrating with Marketing Cloud or other Marketing Automation systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple parallel projects and delivering quality releases on schedule.
