This is an opportunity with tremendous growth potential for very motivated individuals that observe a strong work ethic.Your key responsibilitiesAs a Senior in EY’s Capital Markets Platform Technology group, your focus will be on solving technology problems of our clients in the Capital Markets Industry.Specifically, this role will require you to assist with design of technical solutions, performing analysis of business requirements, translating requirements into functional specifications for implementation by development teams.Assisting with feature design, business process decomposition, supporting technical system integration, modernization, optimization, decommissioning and analysis of underlying front to back data requirements.Moreover, as a member of EY team, you will converse with Capital Markets buy side and sell side technology, operations and business clients on traded products and the end-to-end trade lifecycle. Your ability to understand business problems and advise on proposed technology solutions, summarize, and document technical discussions, translate technical decisions into business English language and communicate with client’s business stakeholders will be critical to success.In this role you will be part of the engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment and provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. You will be an active member providing counselling and mentoring to junior consultants within the organization.To qualify for the role, you must have:

A bachelor's degree and approximately 3 - 4 years of related work experience

A degree in computer science, engineering, finance or a related field

A base location in the NYC Metro area

Experience with delivering technology solutions in Capital Markets industry across any of the following processes:

Transaction processing from pre-trade to settlement

Transaction pricing

Computing of risk exposures

Position management

Collateral management

Client onboarding

Knowledge of transaction lifecycle

Knowledge of financial instruments and asset classes (Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equities, FX, etc)

Understanding of functions across front, middle and back office

Working knowledge of DB querying, Jira (or similar), Data analysis tools (Tableau or Power BI), Basic programming (Python, VBA), Snowflake and/or Databricks

Experience in any of the following areas:

Performing business requirements analysis

Translate requirements into functional specifications for implementation

Support technical system integration, modernization, and optimization

Analyze front to back data requirements and support SDLC processes

Engage with clients on traded products and the end-to-end trade lifecycle

Document technical discussions and translate technical decisions into business language

Development of use cases and test scripts to support Regression QA testing and UAT

Ideally, you’ll also have experience in:

Ability to critically assess current state technology environment, compare and contrast with prevailing industry standards and recommend improvement opportunities

Familiarity with key financial market regulations such as central clearing for treasury/repos, CAT, CFTC SDR, MiFiD II, EMIR 15c3-3, 15c3-5, RegSHO, Dodd-Frank, etc.

Knowledge of financial industry utilities (Exchanges, Clearing Organizations, Repositories etc)

Experience with Capital Markets key vendor solutions and products from Calypso, Murex, Axiom, Broadridge, FIS, Bloomberg, ION , Genesis, etc

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $101,500 to $186,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $121,700 to $211,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
