job detailsjob summary:A Transmission Line Siting Specialist is needed for a world class utility company in Tulsa, OK is preferred, or Corpus Christi, TX or Austin TX (all hybrid) areas. This role manages environmental studies and permitting for transmission line projects, ensuring compliance and stakeholder engagement, with the Senior Specialist potentially taking on leadership roles.location: Tulsa, Oklahomajob type: Contractsalary: $27.21 - 44.28 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:

Coordinate siting, environmental studies, and permitting for electric transmission line and substation projects.

Understand issues related to successful siting and permitting of transmission projects.

Make sound recommendations and decisions.

Expertise in environmental, utility corridor siting, stakeholder interaction, and permitting requirements.

Ensure activities comply with company policies, regulations, and procedures.

Organize environmental studies to meet in-service dates and ensure compliance.

Oversee outsourcing related to siting/environmental tasks.

Collaborate with project team to identify buildable, cost-effective routes minimizing environmental impacts.

Liaise with company Environmental Services on project environmental aspects.

Determine siting/environmental/permitting risks, tasks, scopes, and cost estimates.

Prepare environmental siting assessments and routing studies.

Coordinate regulatory and local zoning applications.

Develop and monitor schedules for siting/environmental/permitting tasks.

Participate in stakeholder meetings and public workshops.

Assist in preparing testimony and testify before agencies.

Organize and facilitate project meetings related to siting/environmental/permitting.

Evaluate impact of proposed legislation and regulations on transmission projects.

Build networks within and outside the company and regulatory agencies.

Improve standardization and process development.

Make presentations to various stakeholders.

Perform other requested or assigned duties.

Transmission Line Siting SpecialistRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in Planning, Land Use Planning, Environmental or Natural Science, Engineering, Geography, or related field.

Experience in Utility Siting and/or Environmental Specialist role or equivalent.

Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth Pro, Microsoft Office applications desired.

Excellent written, organizational, presentation, oral communication, and time management skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments.

Transmission Line Siting Specialist SrRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

Minimum years of industry experience.

Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth Pro, Microsoft Office applications required.

Professional license or certification desired but not required.
