- The Business Systems Analyst/Programmer is responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide applications with a primary focus on ERP and SQL database applications.
- This individual will document and maintain procedures and work instructions for business applications use.
- Maintains understanding of our client's business applications, data relationships, and systems interfaces to determine requirements and formulate strategies for new and enhanced functionality.
- Provides ongoing client support for technical system questions and problems; serves as subject matter expert for designated systems; analyzes and performs second or third tier support, coordinating with vendors and other parties as necessary, and tracks to resolution; recommends alternative workarounds for system defects until system solutions can be implemented.
- Assist in implementation of system interoperability, data exchange, and process integration/workflow solutions using middleware and business process automation tools.
- Manages system users by creating, editing, and assigning appropriate security levels where appropriate to ensure protection of proprietary business information.
- Participates in development to meet business requirements by analyzing business needs, testing, debugging and documenting programs and systems.
- Utilize SQL, VB.Net, C#, Visual Studio, and other scripting languages to develop customizations, personalization, and reports.
- Manage, Install, configure, and upgrade our client's SQL database servers. Monitor system health to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Provide primary support during business hours and secondary support as needed during off-hours.
- Document and Maintain SOP's and SWI for business system activities.
