CEIs Fortune 50 Client in Media and Telecommunications is adding a Data Center Operator to their team. This resource should have experience in a network/infrastructure environment reflected on their resume. Will be performing rack/stack & cabling, troubleshooting cabling issues, hardware changes.
- 6-month contract with potential for extension
- Pay range is $34-39/hr
- Schedule will be 4x10 Shifts, Mon-Thurs. Likely day shift but if night shift, will be 8PM-7AM - NO on-call needed.
- This will be 100% onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon
- Tier one support for break fix
- Auditing of environment daily and monthly
- The overall rack, stack, power & cabling of equipment within the Data Center.
- Interfacing with vendors to install, maintain, troubleshoot and decom related equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Data Center cabling infrastructure and day to day capacity requirements.
- Streamlining Methods and Procedure for day-to-day operational effectiveness.
- Manage Data Center cable running lists, and records of deployed equipment.
- Inventory management of copper, fiber, and power cord with little to no guidance.
- Data Center FE escorts and ensures security procedure compliance.
- Proven experience as network technician or relevant position
- Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
- CCENT/CCNA qualifications
- Associate's, Bachelor's, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
