Data Integration Engineer 3 Direct Hire Remote - Must work from CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, TX, or NM Must be authorized to work in the US without work/visa restrictions Summary: The primary purpose of the Business Intelligence department is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data that enters and exits the Tech database systems, and to enable data transparency for internal and external customers. The primary customers of BI are the Account Services and Operations departments, external clients, and vendors/partners. The primary services provided by BI are Data Warehousing, Business Automation, Data Management, and ETL. Work with customers and business experts to define requirements and designs of data migrations and business automation. Work closely with Information Systems, Software Engineering and Account Services staff to develop, maintain, ensure quality control of databases, and drive development and implementation of measurement and reporting systems. Assume shared ownership of the collective work of the Business Intelligence Team and mentors others on the team in technical areas and team skills. Responsibilities: Actively drives development on every product/technology supported or used by the Business Intelligence team. Identifies new technologies to benefit the team, and facilitates their integration into the team's work. Works within the team charter and contract, is actively engaged, and contributes to team discussions and planning. Actively identifies areas in which the team needs to improve and continuously drives team improvement. Solid understanding of business and domain concepts, knows which questions to ask, and leverages the knowledge to actively drive the team towards quality solutions. Assist in the maintenance of the data that enters and exits database systems. Maintain the accuracy, validity, nd consistency of the data in the organization's databases over its life cycle by implementing check and writing scripts to cleanse data. Develops automation scripts which reflect business process workflows and improve operational efficiency. Configures and develops EDI tools and processes to exchange data with trading partners. Develop ETL processes to create warehouses for internal and external clients. Write custom extraction procedures for healthcare data, including eligibility, claims, and demographics. Develop processes and data structures to support ad-hoc and standard reporting. Maintain ETL performance and integrity. Work as part of a cross-functional collaborative team. Work collaboratively and respectfully in a shred team environment, take pride ownership for the team's work, regardless of specific author. Set aside individual preferences to create a greater collective result. Make and meet commitments to teammates. Assist in the development of team skills. Identify areas in which team members need development and help provide them with the knowledge and tools needed. Review and improve team processes. Participate in team retrospectives. Perform root cause analysis. Proactively make improvements to team environment, process, and automated systems. Required experience: Advanced experience with backend SQL development currently on SQL Server 2017. Strong experience with SSIS. Strong experience in data integration Desired skills: Experience with Python programming. Experience with SSRS. Experience with AWS: Lambda and Athena Healthcare experience highly preferred. Experience SQL database hosted on AWS.
