As a Lead UX Designer at WTW, you will join a highly collaborative team to work on transforming the Human Capital Management industry, by helping turn complex problems into elegant solutions that delight our clients and our users. We create enterprise-level web software for human resource professionals and employees.In this role, you will drive the user experience design across a defined area of our Employee Experience product portfolio. This includes leading and discovering new ideas that innovate our experiences and offering, bringing value to our clients, users and business. You have a strong background in design thinking and other elicitation methods that drive shared understanding, which you combine with research and data, to inform clear decision making and alignement with stakeholders. You are exceptional in leading product discovery with your team, transforming unrefined ideas into innovative experiences. You will be responsible for coordinating UX research and design work in your product area, making critical group-level design decisions. You will work to align our UX efforts to both the Business, as well as our Agile SDLC.With your solid command of both generative and evaluative research methodologies, activities you will perform include elicitation and thoughtful analysis of both problems as well as solution concepts, strategy development, user research, interviewing, usability testing, initial user task and workflow analysis, various flow diagramming, journey mapping, persona development, empathy maps and more.Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity.The RoleAbout You:At your core, you have an insatiable passion for user research, discovering new ideas, defining and validating both problems and possible solutions, and working in a highly-collaborative work style to grow shared understanding across the team of our business and user’s goals.

Speaking with, and understanding users from a informative viewpoint is what makes you most content and fulfilled. You love to carefully craft conversations with users so that insight can be gleaned and leveraged beyond the surface level obvious findings.

Working with a wide range of stakeholders and users, you have solid experience with generative and evaluative research methods, user interface design and usability validation.

You have demonstrable experience creating empathy maps, personas, journey maps and flows or other artifacts that help the team connect with, empathize and understand the problem space and our users.

You are skilled at storytelling to help bring understanding of our clients and users to life.

You thrive in a formative design process and actively work with team members to elicit shared understanding, also testing sacrificial design concepts to ultimately deliver the most valuable solutions.

The RequirementsAbility to work remotely and virtually with users and a global team, while maintaining high-collaboration, clear communications and meeting work expectations.

You have commanding knowledge UX design thinking methods, that elicit and promote shared understanding across the team.

Strategy development, web/mobile design and usability.

You strive to effectively communicate your findings through empathetic and thoughtful analysis.

You foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure success.

You are comfortable in defining and reporting out on the progress of your tasks.

You have a solid understanding of HCI, UI and interaction design principles.

10 years experience with user research of enterprise-level web applications and User-Centered Design in an Agile SDLC.

Basic understanding of accessibility in web and responsive applications.

Solid experience in documenting and reporting out on user research studies.

Rock solid collaborative, professional, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to balance multiple priorities with acute attention to details.

This is not a coding role, a conceptual understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is desired.

Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Sciences, Design, Information Science or equivalent experience.

Post-pandemic possible 10% travel required, including international.

Ability to present user research and work samples of completed projects during interview process is required.
