ResponsibilitiesThe Operations Support Specialist II (OSS) provides direct patient care support under the supervision of a licensed PT/OT or PTA/COTA (as allowable per state statutes), as well as prioritized administrative support to ensure seamless clinic workflow and operations.Within the clinic, this role enables licensed clinical staff to focus on patient care and treatment; thereby improving their efficiency and productivity.The role is optimized across the district, providing flexibility for Clinic Operations to mitigate predictable volume fluctuations (e.g. due to seasonality).Employee's training, education and/or experience enables greater independence with instructing and supervising prescribed clinical exercises and modalities; and provides observational feedback regarding the patient's progress to the prescribing therapist.Acts as an escalation point for OSS IAssists with OSS I onboarding support as requestedAble to instruct prescribed exercises with minimal correction/supervision by the clinician teamProvides observations/feedback to the prescribing therapist regarding the patient's performance and progression of the treatment plan.May perform injury screens (if appropriately licensed)

QualificationsMinimum EductionRequired
Associates Degree in related field; or
Minimum experience as described below
Preferred
Bachelors Degree in related field: health care or core sciences
Masters Degree in related field: health care or core sciences
Min Experience:Required:
1-2 years successful performance of OSS I level duties; or
Bachelors Degree and 1 year directly related experience
Preferred:
Basic clinical assessment and differential diagnosis
Athletic Trainer or sports performance training
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Able to consistently drive referral-to-eval conversion
Knowledge of market specialty services
Proficient at exercise cuing and instruction
Minimal guidance/consultation needed to schedule patient appointments
Emerging problem-solving capabilities to address patient/customer and operational needs
Emerging leadership abilities – mentors OSS 1 to include specific coaching/training
