Description:Self Pay Legal Account Specialist - Cs Outbound Calls Or at Revenue Cycle Business Services (partially remote/partially in office)The Account Specialist contributes to the achievement of service delivery, performance standards, and financial targets by: Ensuring that Providence Health and Services Revenue Cycle is in compliance with all state regulations relating to bankruptcy, probate and liens.One Revenue Cycle (ORC) is the name adopted to reflect the Providence employees who work throughout Providence Health and Services (PH&S) in revenue cycle systems and structures in support of our ministries and operations in all regions from Alaska to California. ORC's objective is to ensure our core strategy, One Ministry Committed to Excellence, is delivered along with the enhanced overall patient care experience (know me, care for me, ease my way) by providing a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized revenue cycle expertise.The Account Specialist contributes to the achievement of service delivery, performance standards, and financial targets by:Ensuring that Providence Health and Services Revenue Cycle is in compliance with all state regulations relating to bankruptcy, probate and liens.KEY CHALLENGESMaintain consistent productivity and quality of work in a challenging, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

Shift: Mon-Fri 8 am - 4:30 pm (partially remote/partially in office)Responsibilities: Handle calls and correspondence in relation to patient accounts. This may include correspondence to or from personal representatives and attorneys to bring about prompt account resolution. File bankruptcy proof of claims in accordance with state laws and Providence Health and Services Revenue Cycle procedures. Files probate creditors’ claims to all appropriate parties in accordance with state laws and Providence Health and Services Revenue Cycle procedures. Files hospital liens in accordance with state laws and Providence Health and Services Revenue Cycle procedures. Research accounts for deceased patients to locate probate information. Analyze account status to determine and carry out next course of action. Request adjustments as appropriate when estates are nonexistent, insufficient or insolvent or when filings untimely. Ensure that proper approval authority is obtained for adjustments based on Providence Health and Services Revenue Cycle guidelines. Report recurring problems. Maintain accurate, clear, concise, and complete account information in Providence Health and Services Revenue Cycle primary system. Promote Providence Health and Services as a premier service organization by treating customers with compassion and respect and ensuring that service delivery targets are met. Closely adhere to set schedules and handle time standards. Maintain confidentiality of all patient demographic, medical, and financial information. Maintain confidentiality of all Providence Health and Services Revenue Cycle and client information. Ensure proper handling and disposal of confidential documents and adherence to all HIPAA rules and regulations. Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements as well as Providence Health and Services policies and procedures in all aspects of job performance. KEY METRICS: PH&S Customer Support policies and procedures are applied correctly and wisely. Customer Support standards are met. Work performance standards and account resolution targets are met. Standards of collection goals established are met.Qualifications:Required qualifications:Licensed as a Notary within 6 months of hire.

2 years experience in customer service, billing, collections, financial industry or legal office.

A track record in organizing and planning with demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and achieve results in a fast paced environment.
