Senior BI Database Administrator

DatamanUSA has an exciting opportunity for the

• Seven (7) years of IT DBA experience.
• This position must pass a criminal history records check.
• Azure Cloud experience (Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Azure Boards, etc)

• Advanced experience with Azure and Azure DevOps
• Advanced experience doing DBA work
• Advanced experience in data warehousing design, BI concepts and best practices
• Advanced experience working with developers to build ETLs for loading data for reporting

• Develop large-scale databases and data warehousing
• Perform database architecture and develop technical standards for large-scale databases for our data warehouse (SQL Server and Azure) on countywide or multi-department platforms.
• Troubleshoot data-tier problems and provide technical assistance to developers and database users.
• Provide project management and work with other departments or outside agencies to integrate data from multiple database platforms and data providers.
• Formulate scope and objectives for database projects; define outcomes; develop and recommend solutions; problem solves and build consensus with management, customers, and vendors to negotiate project priorities and outcomes.
• Maintain integrity and security of databases; coordinate and perform database software installations, upgrades, and patches.
• Design, implement, and schedule physical and logical database backups; plan and perform database restoration and recovery.
• Develop database scripts and triggers; migrate data between database environments (development, testing, and production).
• Monitor, adjust, and optimize space utilization and database performance.
• Act as an expert in database architecture and technical standards for large-scale databases and data warehousing
