Job Description

The Administrator Is Responsible For The Following:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of public information materials and activities
  • Ensuring that the agency's skilled health services are in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws
  • The completion, maintenance and submission of such reports and records as required by the state and federal home health licensure rules, including Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Conditions of Participation and requirements
  • Serving as ongoing liaison with the governing body, staff members and the community
  • The management of the business affairs and the overall operation of the Agency
  • Ensuring that marketing, advertising and promotional information accurately represents the Agency and addresses the care, treatment, and service the Agency can provide directly or through contractual arrangement
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are established, documented and implemented in accordance with all applicable regulations and laws
  • Supervising Clinical Services, Medical Records, Scheduling, Billing, Direct Care Staff, Marketing along with all other designated management

Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Must have training and experience in health service administration and at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related program
  • Be qualified by education, knowledge and experience to oversee the services provided by the Agency
  • Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree or Master's Degree in Business Management or healthcare-related field is preferred

Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement system and third-party payers
  • Demonstrated expertise in coordinating work activities of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users
  • Ability to effectively present information to clients, employees and community members
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to improvise in the home healthcare setting
  • General MS Office knowledge preferred: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and the public
