Senior DevOps EngineerPermanent w/Benefits100% RemoteMust be authorized to work in the US without work/visa restrictionsSummary:We are looking for a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for implementing tools and processes which reduce friction by automating software builds and deployments to the cloud environments.The DevOps engineers apply DevOps practices jointly with our engineering staff to provide automated tooling to empower our Product Development teams to rapidly build, deliver and support new software product features.Responsibilities:Drive Continuous Integration (CI) improvements to automate service/system integration and testing methods.Drive Continuous Deployment (CD) improvements to automate high availability release and rollback methods.Drive improvements in automated monitoring and alerting supporting business SLIs/SLOsDrive improvements in reliability and resiliency including auto-scaling, self-healing, and circuit-breakers.Support high-scale, high-performance web applications in a cloud environment.Deliver cloud Infrastructure supporting web and microservice oriented architectures.Automate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using a GitOps methodology.Support Product Development teams as a primary customer.Support a mature and graceful team-first cultural atmosphere.Support, Pair and Mentor peer and less practiced DevOps Engineers.Excellent non/verbal communication, Emotional Intelligence and a strong attention to detail.Required Qualifications 7+ years automating the delivery of high-scale, high-performance web applications or similar experience.Advanced experience building software delivery pipelines in a CI/CD environment.Advanced experience building, deploying and monitoring containers and container orchestrators.Advanced experience with Kubernetes automation applying operators and controller pattern.Advanced experience delivering Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for microservice oriented architectures.Practical experience delivering IaC with scalability, reliability, observability and security.Practical experience delivering relational and non-relational database infrastructure.Practical experience with infrastructure Operation, Monitoring, Alerting, including Service Level Indicators/Objectives.Practical experience supporting Incident response programs.Practical knowledge of SecOps standards and practices.Practical experience administering Linux operating systems via shell.Preferred technical skills:Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP).Practical experience with our preferred IaC stack using Terraform and HelmPractical experience with relational databases.Practical knowledge of and experience with Elastic StackPractical knowledge of and experience with Service MeshPractical experience delivering GitOps & IaC in a Microsoft Azure DevOps environment.Practical knowledge and application of Cloud Security standards and best practices.Everest Consultants is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable local, state or federal civil right laws.
