Contract / Temp position Job location: on site @ 77 Hot Metal Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 - hybrid work schedule (2-3 days office / 2-3 days home)Accountant : -Support the Accounting Department duties with emphasis on general ledger management, preparation of account reconciliations, and journal entry postings, as well as special projects.

Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process

Analyze financial transactions and balances to ensure that they are appropriately recorded in the general ledger

Prepare and review routine recurring and non-recurring journal entries

Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts

Assist in the preparation of key internal reporting

Prepare required documentation for financial audits and reviews

Assist in maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley compliance

Qualifications :

Ideally a bachelor's degree in accounting

Experience as a staff accountant

Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products

Ideally experience with Infor / Lawson software and with Trintech Cadency software for reconciliation and journal entry software experience preferred
