Accountant

Description Robert Half is looking for an Accountant to assist our client in Lebanon, OR. This role does a little bit of everything, admin, AP, AR, PR, HR, etc., and acts as a liaison to our client's accounting team. The main scope of this role is to provide administrative support to Project Managers from project start to project finish and ensuring that the information flow from department to department drives efficiency. This includes oversight and tactical execution of billing, purchasing, payroll, and cost accounting types of activities for a given project. The Accountant is responsible for all payroll-related tasks which include collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating and issuing payroll tax payments, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records. The successful accountant will investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards as well as demonstrating excellent people skills and a strong organizational aptitude.Requirements

Vista by ViewPoint software experience desired but not required

Degree desired but not required with experience

2+ years of experience in processing AP, AR, payroll, as well as supporting general administrative duties and help with some HR to include onboarding new hires

General ledger experience would be a plus, but the Accounting Manager is willing to train with other experience and/or education

Corporate handles majority of the monthly close, but may assist with providing light month end close support

Must be able to work independently and feel comfortable reporting to a manager that is out of state
