Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in ASTON, Pennsylvania on a part-time basis. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a vital role in our team, managing a range of tasks from processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, to resolving inquiries. You will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring all information is accurate Manage invoice orders and ensure they align with purchase orders Handle check cutting procedures and journal entries as needed Verify order accuracy and rectify any discrepancies Prepare and manage 1099 forms for the appropriate parties Utilize accounting software systems to perform accounting functions Apply account coding principles to categorize financial transactions Address and resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessaryRequirements Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role. Proficiency in account coding is required. Demonstrated experience with accounting software systems is necessary. Familiarity with various accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable (AP) is a must. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures is desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses are required.
