THE POSITIONThe Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission is seeking a highly dedicated person to act as the Administrative Officer 5. This position serves as the primary point of contact for policy, intergovernmental affairs, and mediation to the executive director and commissioners of the PA Human Relations Commission (PHRC). You will have the opportunity to also act as the Director of Mediation for the PHRC. Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Administrative Officer 4 (Commonwealth title);or
Eight years of experience in progressively responsible and varied management or staff work, including personnel management, fiscal management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university;or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration
Knowledge of modern office management methods
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in developing, applying, and interpreting departmental policies and procedures
Supervisory experience
Public speaking experience
Strategic planning development experience
