Position Description: The Advanced EHR Education Team Lead is responsible for maintaining and sharing his/her PennChart knowledge with the PennChart Advanced Clinical Education (PACE) Team. This includes the creation of new materials, maintenance, organization, and updates of existing learning materials and coordinating knowledge share sessions. The Team Lead will collaborate with the PACE Team Supervisors and the PACE Team Project Coordinator to ensure knowledge proficiency of the team and education support for the sessions with end users. This role will collaborate with various stakeholders, including PennChart end users and IS to enhance the utilization of the electronic medical record and optimize business processes. As part of the responsibilities associated with this role, supplementary education of individuals and group education sessions will be conducted by this position to support strategic goals and priorities.

Accountabilities:• Responsible for maintaining and organizing education materials, including workshop curriculum, tip sheets, and e-learnings created by the PACE Team and ensuring that they are accurate, up to date, and readily available. • Accountable for learning and maintaining knowledge of PennChart and coordinating knowledge shares with the team to ensure that all team members are kept up to date with PennChart knowledge. • Collaborate with the PACE Team Supervisors and the PACE Team Project Coordinator to ensure the knowledge proficiency of the team is maintained and resourcing needs are met to support education sessions with end users.• Serve in the role as a preceptor to ensure that new PACE team members and consultants are oriented to the appropriate PennChart knowledge and nuances, and provide feedback to supervisors. • The Team Lead will have 80% of their time available for direct end user clinical education, including leading workshops and 1:1 sessions and 20% for responsibilities connected to the lead position• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, team partners, and end users. • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Minimum Requirements: Required Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree required• MBA/MA/MS or advanced clinical degree preferred.• 5+ years of experience working with electronic medical records in education, practice, or clinical operations, and/or information systems required.• Experience in a healthcare environment required.• Working with electronic medical records in education, practice, or clinical operations, and/or information systems preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications:• Experience using Epic. In lieu of experience, attainment of Epic validated proficiency or certification within 12 months of hire required.

Required Skills and Abilities:• Understanding of electronic medical records functionality• Experience with project management processes and tools• Ability to translate organizational and operational issues into understandable and meaningful solutions • Strong communication skills with all levels across the organization• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of personal skill sets• Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Computer software skills and knowledge• Ability to adapt to and organize different learning environments
