Role Summary: Aftermarket Unit Applications Engineer - The main purpose of this position is to review and book all Aftermarket Unit Orders that Flowserve receives. The objective is to interpret legacy bills of material and proposals provided by our Commercial Operations Application Engineers, to identify and structure new Aftermarket Unit BOM's for each order. To ensure this accurate release, the successful candidate will liaison with Comm Ops, Sales, Peers, and Engineering.

Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Align with Commercial Operations counterparts to ensure quality data transfer in the order handoff process during but not limited to phase-gate process
  • Detailed review and release of orders properly aligned to scope, price, delivery, and quality requirements.
  • Outline new unit Bills of Material including Part Numbers, Quantities, Materials, and Structures.
  • Identify unique project-related unit specifications for a clean order handoff with our manufacturing counterparts.
  • Work with engineering leaders for tactical review and release of order scope and deliverables.
  • Work independently to effectively control the order backlog activity for timely review and booking per Flowserve's commercial standards.
  • Provide Sales support by ensuring project delivery dates are in line with customer expectations
  • Provide Operations support and interface on technical processing questions
  • Review project-related questions and provide technical solutions to pending issues
Requirements:
  • Engineering and/or Technical degree and/or relevant experience (5-7 years minimum in a related role)
  • Sales and/or pump part operations background is a plus
  • Self-starter with a drive and commitment to results
  • Customer-focused and driven for results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, written and verbal, with customers, both internal and external
  • Highly organized with the ability to achieve objectives with minimal direction
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time.
