Job SummaryAssists surgeon with procedures related to the care of patients of all ages during surgical intervention.Job Duties

Assists the manager with the activities of surgical team and ancillary personnel.

Supervises assigned personnel when delegated by the manager in his or her absence.

Provides input to assist the clinical registered nurse team coordinator with preparing and submitting reports.

Assists with monitoring inventory and maintaining supplies for assigned service.

Assists manager with supervising proper use and care of equipment, instruments and supplies.

Assists the Equipment Technician with maintenance and repair of equipment and instruments.

Participates in the evaluation of new equipment.

Provides in-services on new products and equipment.

Evaluates operations and recommends changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Assists the manager with instrument standardization and central sterile supply updates.

Actively participates in Surgical Time and out and operating room briefing.

Helps coordinate activities with other teams, sections and departments Assures adherence to regulatory agency requirements, safety standards and infection control procedures.

Assumes Coordinator responsibilities as assigned.

Position DetailsApplicants graduating from a Surgical Technologist program after December 31, 2020, will have 6 months from their date of graduation from the program to become Certified. Work Schedule

Hours: Rotating start times (6:30am- 9am)

Weekends: No weekends

Experience/Certification: 1 year of experience is preferred.

Travel: None
