Are you living your life's work?Penn Medicine is seeking an Application Analyst at the Senior, Mid or Associate level for the Medical Decision Support (MDS) Device Integrations Team!Job Summary:Associate Application AnalystResponsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining an application within the UPHS health system under the direction of a senior analyst. Responsibilities include testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects. Works with cross functional application teams and UPHS clients by providing education on system functionality, and configuration of new tools to increase end user productivity within the application. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.Application AnalystResponsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining an application within the UPHS health system. Responsibilities include optimization of the application through development of new functionality, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects. Provide technical and functional application analysis, define system requirements, and develop logical date models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity. Works with cross functional application teams and UPHS clients by providing education on system functionality, and configuration of new tools to increase end user productivity within the application. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications, and develop, plan and execute testing for supported applications. Communicates all necessary application changes, enhancements, and procedures to all necessary internal department teams.Senior Application AnalystResponsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining an application within the UPHS health system. Responsibilities include; providing instruction on various technical topics to other team members, managing an application project through the entire project life cycle while meeting project deadlines and initiatives. Coordinating the development of new functionality, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects. Serve as the resource for other application team members on technical and functional application analysis, defining system requirements, and developing logical data models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity. Work with cross functional teams and UPHS clients by providing education on system functionality, and configuration of new tools to increase end user productivity within the application. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications, and develop, plan and execute testing for supported applications. Communicates all necessary application changes, enhancements, and procedures to all necessary internal department teams. Technical AddendumFor this role, being familiar with RFID/RTLS technology (Mobileview) & Instrument Processing Software (Censitrac) desired. Understanding of instrument processing workflow is preferred. Strong analytical ability, problem-solving, time management, and documentation skills are essential.- Strong background in systems lifecycle and applications support is desired
- This position requires some onsite support for systems/applications in a hospital environment including the ORs, ICUs and other hospitals departments/units with minimum traveling is required
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of positions, including leadership & vendors. Has the ability to work with cross-platform teams, often being the lead to reachout
- A technical background, including but not limited to desktop support, servers/OS knowledge and an understanding of application integrations/interfaces is desired
- Willingness to learn and be able to adopt to new technologies on the go
