Penn United Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Apprentice Quality Technician to provide fully on-site quality assurance services in our Stamping Department. This person will perform part inspection and documentation in order to achieve 100% quality production, continually improve manufacturing processes, and assure customer satisfaction. This is a 3 year in-house certificate program.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Apprentice Quality Technician:

Primary work function will be inspection of parts to ensure parts are made to print specifications.

Use manual measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators as well as automated inspection equipment.

Work with manufacturing technicians to achieve acceptable product and meet or exceed customer quality standards.

Audit manufacturing processes and inspection logs.

Data entry & filing of quality documents and records.

Create and maintain inspection documents.

Perform required services for internal teams and external customers as needed.

Perform housekeeping of inspection equipment and area.

Able to work rotating shifts including daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts

QualificationsQualifications for the Apprentice Quality Technician:

Blueprint reading and measurement tool experience (such as calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, etc) is strongly preferred.

Experience with Smart Scopes and Quest machines preferred, not required.

Good math ability

Must have an understanding of computer skills in Windows platform

Team player, service attitude, attention to detail, accurate, and self-motivated

Visual acuity (20/20 vision or corrective lenses)

Committed to team development, and product and service excellence

Must be able to work rotating shifts of day, afternoon and midnight
