AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Architecture Designer III in Philadelphia, PA.Job Details:Participate in early-phase concept and schematic design through collaborative and independent workflowsUtilize physical and digital media, including hand sketches, 3D modeling, and written narratives, to explore design feasibility and articulate design visionLead the design process for interior renovations and expansion projects, including development of interior finish schemes, lighting concepts, and furniture upholstery selectionsPropose and implement strategic space-planning solutions for renovated and new program areasCoordinate design across multiple design disciplines including, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, special systems, rail, aviation, and food serviceConduct code reviews and basic calculations to ensure life safety and zoning complianceCreate and refine construction documents including Basis of Design Reports, Drawings, and SpecificationsCoordinate with material suppliers and product representatives to specify materials and productsReview and coordinate drawings across disciplines to resolve design clashes and construction issuesPerform BIM management and coordination between disciplines in a projectDevelop technical details for building assemblies and connection drawings based on project-specific needsAssist in the development of bid documents and administration of bidding processManage the tracking, logging, and distribution of Submittals and RFIs across multiple projectsParticipate in weekly construction progress calls and collaborate with clients, construction managers, and contractorsReview and analyze submittals and RFIs for technical accuracy and compliance with Contract DocumentsComplete site visits and reportsProduce 2D and 3D models from schematic design through construction documents using drafting platformsEmploy passenger simulation software to evaluate spatial efficiency and user experience in transportation and terminal environments using real-world dataComplete community outreach project participation with local community organizationsAssist in developing proposals and marketing documentsSupport the development of interns and junior staffTelecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week
