Job Description:The Assistant Project Manager position will primarily assist the Dredge and Beneficial Use Division of the Contaminated Materials Group. The assistant project manager is responsible for technical reviews and support related to the approval and management of dredge and beneficial use projects. The role reports to the Senior Project Manager in the Contaminated Materials Division. Tasks will include the review of bid specifications, project plan sets, client communication, development of proposals, and maintaining compliance reporting.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:This includes, but is not limited to:Review bid documents inclusive of sediment sampling and analysis plans, dredge permits, project plans, environmental investigations, waste descriptions, waste characterization analysis, testing procedures, and/or remedial action work plans for dredge projects and/or contaminated soil opportunities that are being considered for recycling or disposal options.Comprehend and effectively consolidate accumulated data from multiple technical documents and sampling events, including various reports, laboratory analytical reports, geologic logs, cross sections, and site maps into a comprehensive project summary.Support dredge division in the development of proposals.Provide accurate and timely reviews to internal project team.Provide technical guidance to clients concerning sediment sampling and analysis plans and upland placement site sampling requirements.Complete permit applications to local regulatory agencies.Manage the approval of projects into Clean Earth facilities, beneficial use sites, and third-party disposal sites and maintain project progress and compliance.Assist in approval of new and ongoing projects to ensure sampling, analysis and material meets acceptance criteriaSubmit project application packages to regulatory agencies and/or third-party disposal site review engineers and work to gain approval.Maintain comprehension of current state regulatory standards and criteria.Optimize relationships with environmental consultants, clients and third-party sitesSupport environmental compliance at Clean Earth's Soil/Dredge Division facilities.Support in completing State/Federal/Local environmental compliance reporting-included but not limited to the following: Air Emissions and Waste Reporting.Respond to requests for information from customers and from Clean Earth sales representatives regarding acceptable and unacceptable material, testing requirements, the approval process, and permit status.Travel as necessary to meet the demands of projects.
