Position Summary:Completing all training in a timely and complete manner; working with an experienced analyst/mentor preparing samples and standards for analysis and running instrumentation independently and/or with guidance including but not limited to, GC/FID, GC/TCD, purge and trap GC, and  GC/ELCD for routine and non-routine instrumental analyses of QC and clients' samples for TPH, DRO, alcohols, light gases, and other related compounds in accordance with SOPs; performing routine maintenance of laboratory equipment; making dilutions using pipettes, syringes and other common laboratory equipment; proper documentation of standard/sample preparation and instrument maintenance; proper use/proficiency with departmental computer programs and LIMS for evaluating data, documenting sample and standard prep, and sample tracking; working efficiently; ensuring that client receives quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to SOP, regulatory, and client requirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateDemonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityPrepare reagents, samples, and standards according to procedures using proper documentationPerforms laboratory operations with good laboratory technique and high degree of accuracy and precisionDocument testing, observations, deviations, and results clearly and completely, and in compliance with SOP, regulatory, and client requirementsUnderstand and perform calculations as required by testing methodsRead and understand analytical procedures and internal SOP'sUnderstand and utilize computers to, access information, process data, generate reports and evaluate data, upload data to the limsProcess data, generate reports, and evaluate data, and track sample statusDetect problems which could affect results and bring these to the attention of department managementPerform routine instrument maintenance and calibration of equipmentWork overtime as workload requiresConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assignedThis position will be Tues-Sat, 3pm-1130pm.  Training will be M-F, 7am-330pm.
