Are you living your life's work?The AV Technology Infrastructure Coordinator position is responsible for providing exceptional leadership, guidance, and accountability for all AV technology rich installation projects across the Penn Medicine entities and at the Perelman School of Medicine. This position will provide AV specific project coordination support for departmental locations requiring AV technology to be installed to support the mission of Penn Medicine. The AV Technology Infrastructure coordinator will engage, manage, and instruct the AV Integrator during simultaneous AV installations. The AV Technology Infrastructure Coordinator will communicate with Real Estate & Design services to review architecture designs that pertain to locations being outfitted with AV technology.The AV Technology Infrastructure Coordinator will work directly with the client to provide scope of work documentation to the AV integrator, review AV proposal documentation to ensure standards are being met, review finalized proposals with client stakeholders for approval, provide summary documentation of coordinated meetings and discussions pertaining to the client projects, coordinate training sessions for clients post-commissioned AV installations. The AV Technology Infrastructure Coordinator will report to The Associate Director for Enterprise Technology and Project Management to ensure the alignment of technology standardizations and design requirements for Penn Medicine and ensure that interoperability and design principals are being followed. Accountabilities- Assists the Associate Director for Enterprise Technology and Project Management with coordination and management of summer replacement projects and installations.
- Assist Lead Technicians and Associate Director for Enterprise Technology and Project Management with the upkeep of functionality of MTP Digital Signage Players and Mediasite Recorders.
- Engages with AV Vendor in proposal requests to cover the scope of work and develop a BoM that meets Penn Medicine AV Standards.
- Work with Penn Medicine Network groups to schedule and coordinate required work pertaining to AV installation projects.
- Provides Project Summary and updates to required personnel including the client, AV Vendor PM, and Penn Medicine support staff.
- Commissions AV Installations alongside of AV Vendor and develop necessary punch list items necessary to complete the project.
- Schedules and coordinates training of AV Systems to end user and Penn Medicine support staff.
- Acts as backup to the Associate Director for Enterprise Technology and Project Management when necessary.
- Researches and evaluates new Audio-Visual Technologies for use at Penn Medicine entities and Perelman School of Medicine.
- Coordinates AV Installation and Support efforts across all entities of Penn Medicine including but not limited to the Perelman School of Medicine and associated satellite campus locations.
- Works with Real Estate and Design services to ensure AV related scope and infrastructure documents are integrated into field construction drawings.
- Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
- Bachelor's Degree is required (Video Production, Video Engineering or Video/Audio Broadcasting is preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in AV Technology with a strong understanding of industry standards and engineering design principles.
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) is preferred
