Batch Operator– Collegeville, PAKelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Batch Operator for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Collegeville, PA. This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. As a KellyOCG employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from. All KellyOCG employees receive annual performance reviews.The normal work schedule is a 5-day 40 hour work week Monday through Friday. The typical work hours each day is 6 am to 2 pm. Pay for this role will start at $22/hr, and may be higher for a more experienced candidate.Core Responsibilities Include :Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for process development experimental runs. Swagelok and metal tubing is typical. Emerson Delta V is the control system commonly employed.

Review process information and consult with process engineers to prepare for experimental runs. Prepare chemicals for use in processing materials following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.

Assist operators to start-up equipment in the morning.

Print and organize batch production paperwork and labeling information and deliver to proper locations.

Weigh chemicals for upcoming batches and deliver to proper locations.

Empty storage tanks into totes.

Disassemble, clean, analyze, and rebuilt equipment used in daily operations.

Complete quality control analytical testing.

Keep laboratory in a ready to run state with chemicals and supplies on hand.

With opportunity, serve as part-time pilot plant unit operator. This includes exhibiting keen attention to detail, consistently generating high quality reliable results, making accurate experimental observations, and inferring valid conclusions as per training.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent is the minimum required.

An introductory technical degree, e.g. an associate’s degree in engineering, is advantageous.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe employee must be able to use handle chemicals on a 5-gallon scale and up to 50 pounds in weight.

The employee must be comfortable with bending to reach equipment close to the ground.

The employee must be comfortable using stairs on the job and standing for extended periods of time to monitor the equipment while operating.
