Our preferred client is looking to hire a Business Analyst- Operations/Construction. Provide functional and technical support for all systems used by Operations/Construction and related areas including Material Sales thru invoicing/accounting, Plant/Mobile Equipment, Construction Estimating/Costing, Repair Shop operations. Analyze business needs and develop solutions using current systems or recommend alternative solutions when gaps are identified. Mostly remote with travel to corporate. Must be within 2/3 hours of Altoona/Bedford.Responsibilities

  • Working with the business organization to create and maintain the set of IT projects in the strategic roadmap for the business unit.
  • Performing cost-benefit and other types of analysis on roadmap projects to evaluate potential solutions and implementation methods.
  • As needed, serving as owner of third party relationships for external vendors/partners.
  • Creating Business requirements, Return on Investment (ROI), and functional system requirements for projects prior to the beginning of the SDLC/project.
  • Representing the needs/priorities of the business organization in any IT meeting.
  • Coordinating with the IT Project Manager, IT Team and Business Owners throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure business support for effort.
  • Prepare detailed written specifications for application development/enhancement projects.
  • Prepare training materials and facilitate training sessions with system users
  • Coordinating User Acceptance testing for all projects.
  • Provide functional and technical support for corporate operations and construction.
  • Timely resolution of system issues and ability to meet specific accounting and project deadlines.
  • Strong Apex, CommandAlkon, and JD Enterprise One knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Support the safety initiatives of clients by adhering to safe work practices and identifying and reporting any safety risks to the Safety Committee.
  • This position requires the ability to handle stress, interrelate positively both orally and in writing with others, the ability to attend work and be punctual as well as work overtime when required.
Qualifications
  • JD Edwards Enterprise One – Billing (including Contract and Service Billing modules), and Order to Cash Applications (minimum 1 years’ experience).
  • Command Alkon Suite of products. Apex, CommandConcrete, Five Cubits (TrackIt) is a plus.
  • The candidate must have the ability to take complex business issues/challenges and formulate them into business requirements and functional systems requirements. Inherent in this function is the ability to learn and understand the relationship between business processes and a complex set of systems that supports the processes.
  • Candidate must have good organizational and communications skills, an eye for quality, and ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals (business users/clients, system users and IT staff).
  • Ability to effectively document processes and procedures.
  • Ability to develop reporting and displays for key metrics as defined by the business.
  • Functional knowledge of Highway Construction, Material Sales/Invoicing and Order to Cash processes.
  • Experience with software development: Reports Now or SharePoint Power Apps a plus.
