Job Description

HII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to work remotely or out of their client's Wilkes Barre, PA office.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Provides minimally supervised support for difficult analysis and evaluation assignments.
  • Analyzes and evaluates complex data processing systems, both current and proposed, translating business area customer information system requirements into detailed system/program requirements. Performs, and/or may direct, project planning, scope, control, management, tracking, or review.
  • Performs analysis and evaluation throughout the process, application, system, or software development life cycle which includes, but is not limited to planning, requirements, design, acquisition, development, integration, and installation/deployment, performance tuning, testing, or training.
  • Performs, or may direct, document development/preparation at various stages of a project life cycle (e.g., planning through implementation) to detail analysis results and solution recommendations.
  • Facilitates meetings with vendors, stakeholders, and other technical staff.
  • Serves as a liaison between functional and technical specialists. Assists with testing to support the project life cycle, as applicable.
  • Uses methodologies, modeling/estimating techniques, tools, applications, systems, software, or databases at advanced levels to perform assigned tasks.
  • Ensures compliance with, and/or may develop, the standards and organization requirements relative to specific assignments.
  • Must have a flexible schedule to support the needs of the project.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Analysis, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science or associated discipline preferred and a minimum of 7 years of applicable experience. 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more of the following skillsets:
    • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishes project estimates and maintains budget
    • Designs computer solutions along with team Architects and Engineers
    • Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures
    • Project Management
    • Provides direction to the development and testing SCRUM teams
    • Conducts Agile Ceremonies
    • Oversees Work Management

Working Knowledge

Working knowledge of one of more of the following qualifications:
  • Ability to transition business needs to SMART requirements.
  • Experience with Version One
  • Experience directing remote resources
  • Experience with Agile Coaching
  • Knowledge/experience with Change Controls (ServiceNow or other Change Management tools)
  • DevSecOps
  • SCRUM Master
  • Secure Coding practices
  • Knowledge/experience of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
  • Knowledge of the Technology Solution Life Cycle (TSLC) practices.

Security Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a USPS Sensitive Clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years
  • Must not have traveled outside of the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years
