ROLE SUMMARYThe Capital Planning and Strategy Lead acts as the single point of accountability for leading the development of an annual Global Workplace Experience (GWE) capital plan, which reflects and prioritizes requirements from a variety of sources. The role acts as the guardian of the capital plan who consults with all relevant stakeholders within and outside GWE.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads the creation of a global capital investment plan for Global Workplace Experience (GWE) managed sites in alignment with the business strategy for R&D, Commercial, and corporate operating lines.

Leads and influences the multinational, multidisciplinary capital planning resource team through functional senior executives (e.g., ELT/ELT-1) strategy discussions, site reviews, and capital planning activities.

Responsible for developing and agreeing annual capital plans and budgets, in consultation with RE Asset Management and Vertical Leads, to ensure capital plans are developed that are compatible with emerging site master plans and global property portfolio strategies.

Leads the ongoing review and where necessary reprioritization of the capital plan at the senior executive functional business unit level, having regard to emergent business needs and changing priorities.

Responsible for influencing senior executives to develop the capital plan across the functional site groupings.

Leads site master planning activities across GWE's large R&D and/or Commercial campuses in collaboration with GWE vertical leads and cross-function senior executive site leadership.

Partner with GWE Finance team to ensure the agreed capital plan is correctly reflected in overall budgets and support in the ongoing tracking of spend against budget / plan.

Support the vertical leads in the ongoing review and (where necessary) reprioritization of the capital plan at a site level, based on emergent site needs and changing priorities.

Provide input into the planning and development of the site infrastructure master plans and capital investment plans.

Ensure all major CPA submissions do not conflict with agreed capital plan, support vertical leads with the resolution of conflicts as appropriate.

Work closely with the Portfolio Optimization & Design Lead to develop and implement real estate strategies that support Pfizer's overall goals.

Collaborate with the vertical leads to ensure the long-term capital needs for sites align the real estate portfolio strategy.

Provide guidance, influence, and direction with senior executives to drive the successful execution of real estate portfolio strategies and initiatives.

Partner, guide and align with central strategic data insight group to help drive our technical data strategy) for capital planning.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Finance, or a related field.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate real estate, healthcare, technology, R&D and/or manufacturing, including strategy and management.

Outstanding managerial skills and leadership abilities to motivate and influence senior Pfizer executives and managers in a demanding / rapidly evolving environment.

Needs to be able to apply intelligence to the planning process that comes from an understanding of the drivers for the projects as well the subsequent impact. The credibility of this depends upon prior significant experience and understanding of the types of projects.

Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and data analytics

Excellent interpersonal, presentational, and persuasive skills so as to successfully interact with leaders at all levels and the ability to manage internal relations on a multi-site and international basis.

A strong background in capital projects planning in an operational environment.

Outstanding ability to think and act strategically and initiate and engage in long term planning.

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in a related field.

In-depth knowledge, experience, and demonstrated success in planning capital projects in an R&D and/or manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated success in optimizing real estate and/or site plans and achieving cost savings.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
