Our customer-centered services are designed to enhance workforce development activities and provide effective strategies to meet a variety of employment needs. Together, we can help you, other job seekers, and Pennsylvania employers achieve your goals!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Career Advisor, you will promote and share workforce development programs and services within established policies and regulations. For job seekers, you will conduct vocational and career assessments, as well as plan and conduct group and individualized career counseling and coaching on resume-writing, interviewing, job searching, networking techniques, and other topics. By applying our case management approach through teamwork and communication, you will effectively coordinate with other service providers to track each job seeker's progress and ensure each person finds a position that fits their needs. For employers, you will analyze workforce needs and skill set requirements, refer qualified job seekers, coordinate special recruitment services, and propose hiring strategies and solutions to address both recruitment and retention.Your skills are essential to help both job seekers and employers address and meet their needs by enrolling in our services! Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Erie.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Successful completion of the Career Advisor Trainee (commonwealth title) training program; or

One year of experience interviewing the public to collect and identify customer needs, evaluating eligibility for programs, and researching data to make decisions, and a bachelor's degree; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
