Core BTS has an immediate need for a Senior Cisco Network Engineer for our customer in Reading, PA. Only qualified candidates should respond and will be contacted for an interview.Network Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cabling infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan, and install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolves software related problems.
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the customer requirements. (e.g., Firewalls, Network Access Control, Segmentation, Advanced Threat Protection Solutions, Netflow Security Solutions, Encryption, etc)
  • Research, evaluate and implement new network solutions.
  • Introduce and integrate new technologies into network environment.
  • Responsible for administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco switches, routers, ASA firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting physical cable infrastructure.
  • Network performance tuning.
  • Document systems configurations, policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine audits of systems and software.
  • Analyzing device logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
  • Troubleshooting any reported problems.
  • Travel Is Required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining Cisco networking equipment in a business environment. Strong Cisco skills are required.
  • ISR & ASR Routing platforms
  • Firepower firewalls
  • ISE (Identity Services Engine) & Cisco NAC (network access control)
  • ASA VPN
  • Ability to work Independently.
  • Experience with load balancing
  • Strong understanding of Firewall and network security technologies
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on support of LAN/WAN Network including technologies supporting MPLS, CISCO Wireless, CISCO Telephony, CISCO 4xxx Routers and CISCO 36xx, 9K, 7K and 5K Switches
  • Experience with network performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong understanding of physical cabling, fiber experience preferred but not required
  • Customer and goal focused; needs to understand the importance of the network to the business and can set client expectations appropriately.
  • Ability to display strong sense of urgency and work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, dynamic, team oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information technology or related degree, or equivalent years in relevant job experience.
  • Cisco experience required. Certifications (CCNP)
