THE POSITION

The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institute (SCI) at Forest is seeking an organized individual with a positive attitude to provide clerical support within our human resources office. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will provide clerical and office support to your assigned institution. This position's primary functions involve timekeeping and payroll. You will be responsible for filing, typing a variety of documents, and inputting data for various departments. Work involves operating office equipment as well as maintaining computer databases and records. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week, after successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to SCI Forest.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or

One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
